Beyonce Knowles was born on 4 September 1981 in Texas. She begins her successful career in the global entertainment industry as an r and b singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, fashion designer and model. She enjoyed music at even an early age and soon joined the choir of her church as a child. Beyonce also took opera classes while she was young. Under the management of her father, Beyonce, her cousin and two other girls joined together to found new singing band, today popular under the name "Destiny s Child". They performed together for the first time on Star Search in 1992. Initially, this group performed under different names at clubs and small venues, while they finally settled on the name of Destiny s Child. Shortly after that, the fourth girls recorded and released their first debut single "No, no, no" which went straight up to the top of the pop charts, followed by their self-titled debut album "Destiny s child" in 1997. Their second album, "The writings on the wall" appeared in 1999, and was an even bigger success with its three top-ten hits - "Bills, bills, bills", "Jumpin, jumpin", and especially "Say my name". The group presented another hit song on the soundtrack for "The angels of Charlie" in 2000, called "Independent women", part 1, where they were nominated for the Grammy Award for "Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media" and also won the ASCAP Award for "Most Performed Songs from Motion". 2001 brought the group two new Grammy Awards for "Best R and B Song" and "Best R and B Performance", but it also made main change in the group with two members leaving, and a new third member, however, the new trio stuck it out and recorded the third compilation on same year, entitled "Survivor", which gave the group more awards, including another Grammy. After a series of commercially successful songs with this band, Knowles recorded her debut solo album "Dangerously in love" in 2003. It soon became one of the biggest commercial successes of the year, reaching the peaks of all the album charts in the United States and the United Kingdom. This compilation also presented the number-one singles "Crazy in love" and "Baby boy" and earned Beyoncé five Grammy Awards in a single night in 2004. Her sophomore album, "B day", which was appeared worldwide on 4 September 2006 - on her twenty-fifth birthday, continued her great music success. It soon presented the English number-one singles "Deja vu" and "Beautiful Liar". Together with the American near-top ten hit "Ring the alarm", and the worldwide number-one hit "Irreplaceable", this compilation also earned Knowles her 10th Grammy Award.
