Shad Gregory Moss, more well-known as Lil Bow Wow was (born on 9 March 1987, in Columbus, Ohio. He is an interesting American rapper and actor. At the age of five, he started his career in rap using the moniker "Kid gangsta". One year later, in 1993, he performed at a Chronic tour in Columbus, and was noted by rappers Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre, who subsequently gave him the stage nickname, "Lil Bow Wow". Dr Dre later hired him as an opening artist, officially gaining him a spot on the Death Row Records roster. "Lil Bow Wow" appeared on a small skit on the debut of Snoop Dogg, called "Doggystyle", too. In 1998 at the age of eleven, Bow Wow was acquainted with the record producer Jermaine Dupri, who helped him shape his future music career. Bow Wow had previously fallen in love with r and b singer Ciara, and they both two made a real hit with the single "Like you". While still a child, this American rapper was taken under the wing of Jermaine Dupri and signed to So So Def record label - they were used to developing young talents, such as Kriss Kross and Da Brat. Along with Brian Michael Cox, they have successfully developed his rapper image and began to produce his first album, "Beware of the dog", which appeared on the global music market in 2000. It and most of its singles became real hits, such as "Bounce with me", "Ghetto girls" and "Bow Wow - that is my name", together with Snoop Dogg. The songs were surprising and fresh with a youthful beat and were not as harsh as the most of hip hop music, today. This talented young star wanted to try his career at some new mediums in 2001 and appeared in the television special "Carmen - a hip opera". After that, Bow Wow starred in the movie "Like Mike" which had a basketball theme. For this movie, he was nominated for the Black Reel Award for Best Breakthrough Performance and the Choice of the viewers and a nomination for the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a feature film "Leading young actor". In 2002, he continued his successful development with his new sophomore album, "Doggy bag", which was just very popular and included big hits, such as "Take ya home".
