Clint Patrick Black was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, United States on 4 February 1962. Nowadays, he is a famous neotraditional country music singer, songwriter, producer and occasional actor. His distinctive passionate interest in music began when still as a child at age 13, he began to teach himself to play the harmonica, guitar and later bass. He even dropped out of high school to play in the band of his three brothers and they performed the local club circuit around Houston, Texas. Meanwhile, Clint Black also ventured into songwriting. Shortly after that, he and Hayden Nicholas began playing and writing songs together, soon performing also with Bill Ham - the manager of ZZ Top - at RCA Records. Nowadays, Black has already sold several million albums all over the world. His first record, "A better man", soon occurred to be a real number one country hit, the same happened also with the next three singles of his debut album, "Killin time", and the complete compilation itself became also number one in total sales. A bit later, he won most awards of the Country Music Association in 1989, generally in six different categories. The second album of Clint Black, "Put yourself in my shoes", was not so successful as his debut, but nonetheless still included several real hits. Then, he began touring around Alabama and soon married actress Lisa Hartman. His third compilation, "The hard way" received some mixed reviews but as a whole became almost as successful as the previous two. His later records remained popular within the country music scene, although his neo-trad approach to music would become less popular at recent days. Despite being one of the most popular artists of the 90s, Clint Black would land only one Top 5 hit in the 2000 - a duet with his friend Steve Wariner. After performing with longtime record label RCA, Clint started his own music company, "Equity Music Group", in late 2003. Then, he has created two mainstream compilations on his own label, as well as the quite surprising Christmas album. Alongside his musical career, Clint has also tried his chance in acting. He appeared in different TV shows, such as "King of the hill", "Hope and faith", and "Hot properties". Clint Black has also had roles in various movies such as "Maverick", "Still holding on - the legend of cadillac Jack", "Going home", and "Anger management".
