Deana Carter Ringtones for Mobile Phones
Deana Kay Carter was born in Nashville, Tennessee, USA on 4 January 1966. Today she is a famous American singer-songwriter, most beloved due to her country music. As the one of the children of Nashville studio guitarist Fred Carter, Jr, Deana Carter grew up in a musical environment, and was exposed to a wide variety of music since she was very little. Fred played guitar for different popular musicians, including Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Waylon Jennings, and Simon and Garfunkel. The music of all these interesting skillful artists would eventually seep into own style of Deana Carter, which she even had not yet formed when she originally tried to land a record contract at the age of seventeen. Her first big success came when one of her demo records caught the attention of Willie Nelson, who invited her to take part in the Farm Aid VII concert from 1994 as the only female soloist of this show. The same tape led to a contract with Capitol Records at the same time. Thus, Capitol published first complete compilation of Deana Carter, called "Did I shave my legs for this" in 1996. "Strawberry wine", the first hit from it, balanced nostalgia with the loss of innocence. It topped to number one and won the CMA single in 1997. Two new records from the same album also peaked at different charts all over the world, and the album sold 5 million copies. Deana was named amongst "50 most beautiful people in the world" of People Magazine in 1997. Shortly later, she contributed to the commercially and critically successful "Hope floats" soundtrack and to the animated movie "Anastasia", a project which yielded a Grammy nomination and a Golden Globe nomination for the hit she performed and produced - an exciting remix of the ballad "Once upon a December". Her next album "Everything is gonna be alright" did not manage as well, and she discontinued her relationship with Capitol a few years later over differences for the main creative direction. After a Christmas album and a divorce with her husband Chris DiCroce, she moved in Los Angeles, then created the compilation "I am just a girl" on Arista Nashville in 2003 and "The story of my life" on Vanguard Records in 2005.
