Elvis Presley Ringtones for Mobile Phones
Elvis Aaron Presley was born on 8 January 1935 and died on 16 August 1977. He is usually popular simply as Elvis and also called "The King of Rock and Roll"or simply "The King". Elvis is undoubtedly most well-known and beloved American singer, musician and actor. He remains a pop icon and often is regarded as one of the most significant and influential entertainers of the last fifty years in the global music history. Thus, it is no surprise that Presley remains among the most talked about and written about performers of the 20th century. He had chosen his middle name because of his twin brother, Aaron, who died at birth, and so he would always have a part of his brother with him. Presley started his music performances as a singer of rockabilly, singing many songs from rhythm and blues, gospel and country. His first stage nickname was "The hillbilly cat". His combination of country music with blues vocals and a strong back beat from the very beginning marked a clear path toward rock and roll in his later music. He was the most commercially successful singer of rock and roll, but he also had success with ballads, country, gospel, blues, pop, folk and even semi-operatic and jazz hits. His voice, which developed into many nuances as his career progressed, had always a unique tonality and an extraordinarily interesting center of gravity, leading to his ability to tackle a range of songs and melodies which would be nearly impossible for most other popular singers. In a musical career of over two decades, Presley set many records, such as concert attendance, television ratings, and records sales, and became one of the best-selling artists in the entire music history. Elvis Presley had 111 RIAA certified gold and platinum albums, starred in 31 featured films from 1956 to 1969, and for a number of years was on the top box office draws of Hollywood and among its highest paid actors. Nowadays, Elvis has sold over 1 billion records and is regarded as one of the most important artists in the global culture of the 20th century.
