His fame was only heightened by some troubles with the law and legal battles with this mother and his wife. Meanwhile, he married his high school sweetheart - Kimberly Scott, in 1999. They were divorced in 2001, then remarried briefly in 2006. In 2003 Eminem became the first rapper to win an Oscar - for the song "Lose yourself", from the same movie. He released another greatest hits album in 2005 titled "Curtain call" and performed with D12 on the hits "My band" and "How come". Enter Interscope Records manager Jimmy Iovine, who was impressed by the fresh and bold style of Eminem approached the struggling rapper after seeing him take second place in the freestyle category at Rap Olympics in 1997. Iovine later played a short demo tape of the artist especially for super-producer and former Death Row Records chief and NWA member Dr Dre, who immediately liked what he heard, contacted Eminem, and started a fruitful creative partnership with him that exists to this day. It is already known today that they both recorded the first big hit single of Eminem, "My name is", only within an hour after their first meeting. Interscope quickly signed Mathers, and Dre produced his major-label debut album, "The slim shady LP", which was appeared on the market in February 1999 to both massive acclaim and derision, and soon occurred to be triple-platinum. The next record, "Marshall Mathers LP" in 2000, was an even bigger phenomenon, selling almost 2 million copies in its first week of release alone, and thus become the fastest-selling hip-hop album of all time.
