Jennifer Lynn Lopez was born on 24 July 1969, and today become more popular with the nickname J Lo. She has really enormous success on the music and entertainment market today, as a Golden Globe Award-nominated, five-time ALMA Award-winning American actress, and Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-nominated singer, songwriter, dancer, and fashion designer. Lopez was born and originally lived in Castle Hill, a middle-class neighbourhood in the Bronx, New York to Puerto Rican parents Guadalupe Rodríguez and David Lopez. According to Forbes magazine she is the richest Hispanic in Hollywood and also the most influential Hispanic entertainer in America according to "People" in Spanish list of 100 Most Influential Hispanics which pays tribute to Hispanics who have had an impact on their communities. The debut album of J Lo "On the 6", some interesting reference to the 6 subway line she used to take growing up in Castle Hill, was released on 1 June 1999, and reached the top ten of the Billboard 200. It also featured the multi-week Billboard Hot 100 number-one lead single, "If you had my love", as well as the top ten hit "Waiting for tonight". Another famous and very beloved hit from it is the Spanish-language, Latin-flavoured duet "No me ames" with Marc Anthony. Though this song never had a commercial release, it reached number one on the American Hot Latin Tracks. After a year apart from the music scene, Lopez released her fourth studio album, "Rebirth", on 1 March 2005. Although this was somehow new debuting album, it peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. Lopez officially released her first full Spanish-language album, with the name "Como ama una mujer" on 27 March 2007 in the United States and before that on 23 March 2007 in Europe. The album peaked at number ten on the American Billboard 200, and number one on the American Top Latin Albums where it kept this position for three weeks and number one hundred and thirty-one in the United Kingdom. The lead single, "Qué hiciste", Spanish for "What have you done", was officially released to radio stations in January 2007. Since then, it has peaked at number eighty-six on the United States Billboard Hot 100 and number twelve on the Hot Latin Songs. Lopez also made an appearance as a mentor on "American Idol" on 10 April 2007. On the next day, she appeared on the show during a live taping as a performer singing her single "Qué hiciste", and her performance received a standing ovation from all three judges.
