Dwayne Michael Carter Jr was the real name of Lil Wayne, famous American rapper. He was born on 27 September 1982 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He had won a Grammy Award for his songs , and is known also as the president of the New Orleans-based company "Cash money records" and the CEO of "Young money entertainment". His career began as the youngest "Hot Boy", but Lil Wayne grew up quickly and enjoyed a steady stream of his unique hits in the process. The New Orleans rapper began his long stint with "Cash Money" as part of the "Hot Boys", a popular super group of the late 90s, also comprised of Juvenile, Turk, and BG that set the stage for respective solo careers. They made their solo debuts first in 1999 and racked up a pair of simultaneous big hits, such as "Back that azz up" and "Bling Bling". But Lil Wayne made his solo debut later that year and similarly came out of the gate with a huge hit, the title track of his album, "Tha Block Is Hot" in 1999. Following this wave of extreme success, in 1999 the "Cash Money" frenzy developed a little bit thereafter. During the two years between the second album of Lil Wayne, "Lights Out" in 2000, and his third one, "500 Degreez" from 2002, "Cash Money" consequently purged itself of "Hot Boys", dropping Juvenile, BG, and Turk while retaining only Lil Wayne. The total loyalty of the company paid off, as "500 Degreez" sold massively, driven by the main single "Way of Life". The next interesting album "Tha Carter" was released two years later, powered by the hit single "Go DJ". In 2005 Lil Wayne became the president of the "Cash Money" label and began his work on a new successful album. "Tha Carter, Volume 2" appeared at the end of year while Lil Wayne was busy in his native New Orleans raising money for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
