Louise Taylor is a popular contemporary American folk singer and songwriter, born in Vermont. She left home, when she was fifteen years old, hitchhiking and busking her way around the United States. Later, Taylor settled herself in Texas, near the Gulf of Mexico, for six months at age 20. Her song "Blue Northern" presents her exciting experiences working as a waitress in a cantina there, and her numerous encounters with the local fishermen. She gave birth to her son, Morgan, when she was twenty-six and worked for several years after that at Marlboro College as director of work study and housekeeping. In 1992, Taylor created her first album, "Looking for rivers". At the same time, her songwriting process also made its great debut with this original appearance on the global music market. This compilation is dedicated to co-producer and close friend, Jack MacKay, who provided crucial early support for her music work. Her compositions here received some new surprising melody dimensions due to her numerous travels to Ireland.
