Pam Tillis Ringtones for Mobile Phones
Pam Tillis was born in Plant City, Florida on 24 July 1957. Nowadays, she is already a well-known and beloved American country music singer and actress. Only when she was eight, she sang on the Grand Ole Opry. Tillis got her serious musical start out in Los Angeles, recording a pop single in 1981 for Elektra Records. It was called "Every home should have one", but managed quite poorly on the different charts. Tillis soon made another appearance on the pop scene with her first and the only album for Warner Bros, entitled "Above and beyond the doll of cutey", released in 1983. The first single from it, "Killer comfort", was supported with the lead track "You just want to be weird". Shortly later, Tillis created an interesting promotional music video clip that presented scenes of her with various dolls, and also her posing for the album cover. Both "Killer comfort" and the next track "Love is sneakin up on you" failed to chart again. This compilation has been out of print for two decades, but cut-out copies could be found fairly easily in Nashville. Later after this, Arista chose the Tillis-penned "One of those things" for its next single. Co-written with the eighties hitmaker Paul Overstreet, she had initially released it as a single in 1985 for Warner Bros, but that early version managed quite poorly on the global music market. Janie Fricke had also covered this song on her album "Labour of love" in 1989. Thus, "One of those things" became a real hit, climbing on number six on the Billboard country chart. Then, Arista serviced the title track to some radio stations, which would eventually reach number eleven. Tillis performed this hit also on the CMA Awards for 1991, where she was nominated for "Single of the year" - for her hit "Do not tell me what to do" and for the Horizon Award.
