The Pussycat Dolls Ringtones for Mobile Phones
The Pussycat Dolls are a famous American pop, dance and burlesque ensemble founded by choreographer Robin Antin in 1995. It began basically as a dance troupe, based in Los Angeles, and later in 2003, was "re-cast" as a pop group, and expanded in 2005 with small additional group at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. They recorded their first single in 2004, and have immediately gone on to international commercial success. During this period they performed with numerous guest singers, and their repertoire consists generally of 50s and 60s pop hits. Usually these girls were dressed in lingerie or old-fashioned pin-up costumes on the most part of their performances. In June 1999 "Playboy" ran a special pictorial for the band, presenting at least contemporary members Kasey Campbell, Kiva Dawson, Antonietta Macri, Erica Breckels, Katie Bergold, Erica Gudis and Lindsley Allen. In 2002 most of the initial members moved to "The Roxy". Soon The Pussycat Dolls became internationally popular and were featured in lots of magazines, television clips for MTV and VH1, advertising campaigns, and movies. Some of the members appeared in the film "Charlie s angels - full throttle" in 2003, dancing to "The pink panther theme". In this period, Carmen Electra was the lead performer of this group on most of their shows. In the same year, Nicole Scherzinger - a former member of "Eden s crush" occurred to be the lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls. The entire lineup of the group now is Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, joined in 1995, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, since 2001, Jessica Sutta who joined in 2002, and Melody Thornton from 2003. By the time, the recording group were presented, their stage costumes also were developed to bear various branding and "PCD" logos, which preceded the later sales of a branded clothing and other merchandise via websites and at the performances of different artists at recent days. The Pussycat Dolls opened the MTV Asia Awards in 2004. In September and October of the same year appeared the soundtrack CDs for the films "Shark tale" and "Shall we dance", each containing one track by the Dolls. "Sway" from "Shall we dance" also was the first official single of the group and their first music clip. The Pussycat Dolls presented their debut album, "PCD", in 2005. It immediately entered at number five on the Billboard 200, selling about 100,000 copies, and consisted seven hit singles. Thus, The Pussycat Dolls received a Grammy nomination on 7 December 2006, in the "Best Pop Performance By a Duo or Group" category for their hit ballad "Stickwitu".
