Patricia Lynn "Trisha" Yearwood was born in Monticello, Georgia on 19 September 1964. She is a popular three-time Grammy-winning American country music singer. She has developed her original musical talent in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was a student at Belmont University. Her first number one hit was "She is in love with the boy", released in 1991. Shortly before this, one of her husbands Brooks and Yearwood first met in October 1987, creating demos for songwriter Kent Blazy. They soon became friends and pledged whoever made it big first would help the other out. Thus, when Garth landed a major tour in 1991, he brought Trisha along to open all of his shows. Musically, Yearwood is most influenced by Linda Ronstadt for her complete deep sound and vocal stylings which become clearly apparent in the music of Trisha Yearwood. Other creative influences include Emmylou Harris, Patsy Cline, and Elvis Presley. After taking a four-year break from touring and recording, she released a new compilation, "Jasper county" on 13 September 2005. This is a return to a more country sound comparing with her last several records. The first hit of it, "Georgia rain", determine the main melodies for whole album, with Yearwood altering the lyrics to pay homage to her home, singing about "the Georgia rain on the Jasper County clay". Nowadays, Trisha Yearwood has won three Grammy Awards from several nominations. She has also gained the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music awards for Best Female Performer in 1997. Due to the complete development of her music career, Yearwood was inducted into the famed and historic Grand Ole Opry in 1999, cementing her status as a true icon in American country music.
