The Biggest Mobile Companies in the World

At the present days, when different Asian countries are opening up their skies , the mobile technologies have taken a higher level of growth. In this fast-moving and ever-changing world market nowadays, most of the telecommunication companies have their own challenges to face . They have to deliver the cutting edge technology at a regular interval to the discerning and ever looking fo new-comings consumers. There are numerous mobile phone manufacturers in the line, trying to deliver the newest designs, latest technologies and newest features.

World mobile cell-phones market is very strong and fast growing. There are 251 million units sold worldwide and the number is growing. Worlds leading mobile cell-phone manufacturer is Nokia , which is based in Finland. It is the world's leader in equipment, services and network solutions. According to the latest reports, it has 35.1% share in the world mobile market which translates into 88,1 million handsets. This feature was achieved due to constant market research, incorporating newest technologies and affordability. Nokia has always focussed on customer's satisfaction, digging deeper into the consumer’s psyche trying to find out what the consumer wants and how to create a process to meet customers' requirements. The constant growth of the company is always linked to customers' satisfaction, as per Paul Esch, Director, Support and Services, which all are good and needs-satisfying .

Second place in mobile phone market is occupied by Motorola with 20.6% stake in the world market with 51.8 million handsets in sales. Motorola has seen a major leap in sale with the launch of what it claims - world’s slimmest phones. Its MOTORAZR range has been very successful in catching customer’s imagination. Coupled with aggressive marketing strategy this feature rich yet sleek range has set a new standard in mobile phone designs.

Next in the global market share is the Korean giant Samsung with 12.2% market share with 30 million in handset sales. It is currently number one in Western and Eastern Europe, Middle East and in Africa. This has been achieved due to the launch of its newest models like D900 and E900.

The fourth biggest manufacturer in the world is Sony Ericsson with overall sales of 19.4 million units that represent a market share of 7.7 %. The strategy of Sony Ericsson is to provide a larger number of product choices to the consumers, instead of focusing on a single successful product.

The fifth place goes to LG Mobile that holds 6 percents of the market share and it has fell down recently due to the fading success of its Chocolate range. They have not been able to develop better alternatives to this handset and therefore they have suddenly dropped behind their direct competitor - Sony Ericsson Company . There are other big mobile manufacturers like BenQ, Panasonic, Sagem, Siemens etc ,but none can match the success of Nokia, which offers the largest choice to its customers, based on the designs, functionality and affordability of the mobile cell-phones services.
